General Questions

Is our food halal?

Our chicken and duck dishes are all halal.

When is your last kitchen order?

Last lunch orders are at 2.30pm, and last dinner orders are at 10.30pm.

When do you close?

We close at 3pm during lunch hours and 11pm during dinner hours.


How do I place an order?

You can order via our App – search in the App store ‘Firecracker: Modern Oriental Dining and Karaoke’.

Do you have a minimum spend for delivery?

Yes, there is a minimum spend of £15.00.

Do you have a delivery charge?

Yes, we have an additional delivery charge of £2.00.

Do you accept card payments for delivery?

If you order on our App or website we are able to accept card payments. If you make an order over the phone, we can only accept cash on delivery.

Do you not do the meal deals in the evening?

No, our meal deals are only available during lunch time on Monday-Fridays, between 12pm – 2.30pm.

Dining In

What’s the maximum amount of people you can accommodate on a table?

For Westminster, there is a maximum of 7 people.

For Kennington, there is a maximum capacity of 5.

Do I need to book?

We advise you to book in advance to avoid any disappointment, more so for larger groups as both branches are very small.

Our busiest period is during lunchtime.

When booking, please specify which branch.

We have a large group coming for lunch, will it be a quick lunch?

We recommend for you to book in advance as both branches are small and assign tables for bookings. Once reserves, the booking team will advise you to send in a pre-order in advance to avoid any possible delays and will attach a form to do so.

Is your restaurant accessible for wheelchair users?

Both branches has steps into the restaurant.

Do you have a baby changing area?

I’m afraid both branches do not have baby changing facilities.

Private Dining Rooms/Karaoke (Westminster only)

How do I book?

We only accept reservations by email – you can email us at directly at; we do not take any bookings over the phone.

How long does it take for a response?

The booking team aims to reply within 24 hours but please understand that reply time may be longer if they are experiencing a high volume of enquiries.

Do you have karaoke available in the private dining rooms?

Yes, our private dining rooms only have karaoke facilities available – the dining area is dining only unless you were to booking the Main Dining area exclusively.

Do you have specific time slots or offer hourly rates?

The slots to choose from is 12-5pm and 6pm-closing.

We do not offer hourly rates.

Are we only allowed to order the Set Menus or Party Menus?

For all large group bookings, you can only order the Set Menus or Party Menus and they must be pre-ordered 3 days prior to your booking.

Those with special dietary requirements can opt out and order from the A La Carte menu.

If I want to know the availability for a date, how do I go about it?

You will need to contact the booking team via email – the restaurant does not have the calendar and will not be able to tell you available dates over the phone or in person.

Do I need to put down a deposit?

Yes, a deposit is required for all room bookings or large table bookings.

Is my deposit refundable?

Your deposit becomes refundable once you have reached your minimum spend for our private room bookings. This can be refunded back to the card you used to make the deposit at the end of the session.

Is there a minimum spend?

Yes, you can spend on food and drinks up to the minimum spend. Please see our rates here.

What happens if I do not meet the minimum spend?

Your deposit will be used to meet the shortfall, or you will need to pay the higher amount.

What is the maximum capacity for your rooms?

Each room differs at 10, 25, 50, 60 people. (Please note that babies or children count as one person)

If we only have 11 people, can we still squeeze into the regular room for 10 people?

For health and safety reasons, we cannot exceed the maximum capacity of the room limit.

Is there an age limit to use the private dining rooms with karaoke?

There is no age limit, but we will ask for ID to anyone that looks under the age of 18 upon buying alcohol.

Do I still need to bring my ID even though I look old enough?

Yes, we are required by law to ask for ID.

Can we bring our own alcohol/drinks and is there a corkage fee?

As we are a fully licensed bar, we charge corkage fee as follows (per bottle):

–          Wine (75cl) = £21

–          Sparkling Wine (75cl) = £31

–          Champagne (75cl) = £55

–          Spirits (70cl) = £88


You must bring these to attention upon arrival.


If we were to find open bottles without approval, you risk losing the deposit and we may ask you to vacate the venue immediately.

Can we bring our own decorations?

Yes, with the exception of small decorative pieces such as confetti or party poppers.

If these were to be used, we charge a cleaning fee.

Can we plug in our own music/plug in laptop?

Unfortunately not, as we do not have the facilities to do so.

You are free to bring portable speakers if you wish to play your own music but we do not supply them ourselves.

What songs do you have?

We can’t provide a specific list as our song database if so large, however our karaoke system has over 150,000 songs with different languages and is updated every month.
